It's important to see things such as this for what they are, without necessarily blaming the perpetrators or the victims. Playing on someone's trust and humiliating/ridiculing them publicly is only funny to those who have been victims of such cruelty...probably as children. And however "playful" or "harmless" some might label it - shoving a cream pie in someone's face is an act of violence against that person.

I think this is kind of harsh. If those guys do pull this prank I think they should atleast clean them up afterwards

I'm not opposed to pranks, as long as they are not physically attacking the person -- and this one crosses the line. No it's not really and act of violence, but it does get physical, and clearly the people being pranked are NOT amused! The best pranks have everyone laughing after they are over.
